The Kfar Shmaryahu - Hof Hasharon School
The Kfar Shmaryahu Rishpon School is a dynamic first through ninth grade institution. The school is a one level complex set in a green pastoral environment North of Tel-Aviv. The school is founded on the belief that all students need to be valued as individuals and taught with sensitivity and appreciation for their own special learning styles. The school strives to empower students through their strengths as well as strengthening their weaknesses. The school embraces Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences and teaches accordingly. The school is sensitive to the needs of the two communities it serves and incorporates many activities with the different age groups and institutions in the communities. The school is involved in national and international projects such as Schools-on-line, I-earn and Special Olympics. The school has also developed a few initiatives such as Heritage and tradition projects, art for prevention of violence and The Buddy System, which is a classroom management program for successful and motivating learning in heterogeneous classes. Emotional literacy is a recognized component of all aspects of the school and its programs. The school prides itself on being a learning institution that provides a meaningful growth experience - academically, socially and emotionally - for all.
